Mondays at Eon

Creating Change: 4:00 – 5:30 pm

A group designed to help youth learn more about themselves, set healthy goals and learn how to deal with the challenges that every-day life brings. We do a variety of different activities and have some great discussions.

Tuesdays at Eon

Peer Working Group: 4:00 – 5:30 pm
Eon youth meet to plan Eon events, to offer direction and feedback on programs, to share information about community events, and conducts outreach with the Youth Outreach Specialist. This group is ran by the Eon Leadership Team, but all youth are welcome to join.

Wednesdays at Eon

Support OurSelves: 4:00 – 5:30 pm

A peer-to-peer support group for youth currently experiencing unstable housing or those who’ve experienced unstable housing in the past. Youth discuss resources, employment opportunities, survival skills, and employment skill development. Youth also learn several different life skills such as resume` building, healthy eating habits, and financial responsibility.

SAGA and Friends Hot Meal: 3rd Wednesday

Join the volunteers from the Southern Arizona Gender Alliance, PFLAG and Senior Pride at our monthly Hot Meals.

Every month on the third Wednesday, SAGA and Friends prepare a free, delicious, home-cooked meal for the youth at Eon. Dinner begins at 4:30, and all LGBTQ and straight ally youth, between the ages 13-23 are welcome.

During dinner we’ll also be holding our ‘Support OurSelves’ group and sharing information on employment and housing resources and offering up support and celebrations for our weekly ‘highs and lows’.

Thursdays at Eon

Sex Chat: 5:00 – 6:30 pm
Facilitated by a Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (SAAF) staff member, this discussion group engages youth in open and frank conversations regarding all aspects of sexuality, sexual behavior, healthy relationships, boundaries and safer sex practices.

Fridays at Eon

Support Group: 3:30pm-4:30pm

General discussion group for LGBTQ or Straight Ally youth. It’s a great place for youth to come talk about what is going on in their lives, communities, and meet other supportive youth.

Special Nights
Cafe Chat: Open Mic/Spoken Word/Singing/Poetry Social Event with Coffee  and Cool Kids
Theme Party: Youth planned and organized theme parties at the Lounge.
Club Eon/Gender Bender Show: This is a chance for everyone to strut your stuff in a safe, sober, and comfortable environment.
Fierce Living: Every 3rd Friday of the month there is a wellness workshop on keeping the mind, body, and spirit healthy and fierce.

Annual Events
Youth Leadership Retreat – Eon youth and staff go on a weekend retreat to the beautiful COD Ranch in Oracle, Arizona. During this retreat, youth and staff put on a series of workshops, geared to teach youth how to draw off of their strengths, to become the most fierce leader they can.

Queer Prom- Every summer, Eon puts on a Prom for youth ages 13-23. This prom is a safe space for youth to take who they really want and wear what they really want to wear to prom. During Prom there is a live DJ, performances, food, HIV testing, and most of all lots of FUN! Like all of Eon events, this prom is a free, safe and sober event open to all youth within the age range.
