TransParents is a peer-to-peer, social, support and empowerment project created by and for the parents/caregivers of children who are transgender, gender diverse, gender transcendent, questioning, or gender creative.

Families gather on the 2nd Saturday of the month to build community and provide support to one another. Parents get a chance to get the support and information they need, and the kids get a chance to play together.

To join the TransParents group, please email Rae at rstrozzo@sagatucson.org or Diana at tucsondi@gmail.com. We ask that parents please tell us a little about yourself and your child prior to disclosing the location of the meeting.

Also, started in fall 2012, these dedicated families and a team of skilled community volunteers came together to begin an annual tradition:

Camp Born This Way, a four day, three night camp experience for gender-phenomenal youth, ages 5-12, and their parents/caregivers, and siblings. This joyous event was a tremendous success and will continue into the future!

For more information about TransParents or camp, please email Diana or Rae.

Camp and Transparents projects are supported by SAGA, Wingspan, the Alliance Fund, and generous community donation and involvement.
